"Topaz" is a great addition from Cedar's second litter, born in 2005. Wonderful, easy going, even temperament. I call her the smack-dab-on-the-lip-kisser, watch out if you're leaning down to pet her.. you'll get slurpped. Topaz placed above top ranked specials on the road to achieving her AKC Championship for conformation. Topaz currently writes a syndicated newspaper column called Swiss in the City giving advice from a dog perspecitve. She has also passed her Herding Instinct Test. Topaz has benefited the Swissy breed by producing three litters of 10 puppies in each. Incredible and consistant, she is 'perfectly perfect'.. and now (2010) retired living with my mom and dad on their 10 acre hobby farm.
2011, Topaz went back in to the herding pen to round up some goats and finish off her AHBA - Herding Capability Test (HCT).

"Olive" arrived from Cedar's final litter born in 2007. A very intelligent, focused puppy with a sultry blend of lounge and chill... She earned her AKC Championship, had her first litter which produced six pups all graded 'show' quality, she was invited to the Eukenuba Classic 2010.

"Wonka" is from Topaz's Swiss Chocolate litter born in 2008. Always has a smile on his face and a wag in his tail... he enters the room in true Kramer fashion! Won Puppy Sweepstakes at our Nationals in 2009, won an award of excellence at the Eukenuba Classic in 2010. Wonka is working on his Novice Working Pack dog title, and is available for stud.

"Ember" is from Olive's first litter born January 2010. She is just like her mom; smart, energetic, goofy and sweet as can be. Only a year and a half old, Ember has earned both legs of AKC Herding Instinct Test (HIT), and is training with HABIC - Human Animal Bond in Colorado with CSU to do therapy work.

"Siren" from Topaz's final litter April 2010. She had 9 brothers and sisters but stood out amongst the crowd. She has a beautiful face the spitin' image between her mom and dad. I look forward to watching her grow.

"Carolynn" (that's me) is very busy. Living with four Swissies is like living with a pack of two-year-olds. They are always into something, never help pick-up their toys, needing constant attention. I've been an active Swissy fancier for many years, I've participated in the show ring, working events, breeding and educating. I am serving my second term as president of the Greater Swiss Mtn Dog club of the Rockies www.gsmdcr.org. I have produced a poster for sale, with all proceeds going to epilepsy research.  I plan on certifying the dogs in Therapy work and sharing them with others in need of some companionship. I could use a few more hands to pet all of them  :-)
I wish you all the best in finding your Swissy.
Now my life has gone to the dogs!  I GotSwiss!
Established in 1998 - CedarCove Swissies are located in beautiful Loveland, Colorado.  I flew to Georgia to get my first Swissy "Timber" - Plumtree's Timberline Jackpot. He was an awesome showman, a beautiful dog... and I was hooked. A couple years later I traveled to Oregon to pick up "Cedar".

"Cedar" is a love and everything you could want in your dog. A favorite among my friends, I never have trouble finding someone to dog sit. Cedar was in the top 25 breed standings for two years, she has produced nine AKC Champions from her three litters, which has earned her a Record of Merit (ROM).  She has also earned her Working Weight Dog title (WWD) for pulling.

"Aspen" is the epitome of a working dog. Ready, willing and very able. Broke the record in 2003 for Strongest Dog at the National Specialty.

"Baron" came from Cedar's first litter, born in 2003.  He has earned his AKC and International Championships for conformation. He proudly pulls his sulky around, although we haven't trusted him to give kids rides yet. Baron earned his Novice Working Pack Dog (NWPD) title by finishing (4) Ten Mile Pack Hikes carrying 20% of his body weight. (22 lbs). Was ranked #4 All Breed in 2007.
